Twilight 32 crack

Yes here it is, the first Twilight 32 crack (You can use it to rip anything from the 2 CD's, especially from the Various directory on Disc 2). I know Twilight 32 isn't released yet, but the crack is already available!!!! I made it myself. You can download it right here or at the Downloads or Cracks page.

PacketCD 3.0

I didn't know lots of people have troubles finding an URL to download PacketCD 3.0, but here are 2 URL'S where you can get it. You can download it right here or here, or at the Downloads page.

HP 710 or 720

OK, I know we usually don't provide info about printers, but this one might save you some money. Buy a HP 710 instead of a 720, download the drivers for the 720 and the 710 will be as  fast as the 720!!! This will save you about 100 Guilders.

Copying Dreamcast Games

Sega has released a new gamestation called Dreamcast, the games are 1 Gig!!!! Not just a fake size, it's really 1 GB. As you know, normal cd-r's can conain upto 700 MB data, so you won't be able to copy it. CeQuadrat has released PacketCD 3.0, whit this util you can store up to 1,2 GB on a single 650 MB disc, because the program kinda compress the files on the disc. So you should use PacketCD 3.0 to burn the disc. This method is reported to work only with the following recorders:

Solution for burning 80 Minutes on Compro 7502 (and others?)

When you copy a 80 minutes cd with your Compro 7502, everything is succesfully completed. But when you want to make a copy of the disc you copied, you will receive an error (Cannot read from source). To fix this, burn the disc with Track At Once (TAO) and Close Session instead of Disc At Once (DAO) and Close Disc. It worked for the Compro, so it might work for others too.

WAV files on cd

This is a nice driver, so when you press explore with a normal audio cd you see some directory's with WAV files. You can use them with your favorite audio program, like Soundforge, Goldwave or MP3 Compressor (and lots of others too). There are WAV files in several sample rates (11 Khz, 22Khz and 44 Khz), in mono and stereo andin 8 and 16 bits. You can download it right here, or at the Downloads page.

Possible solution for ticking on audio cd's

When you want to create an audio cd, sometimes you will hear very irritating ticking. This ticking is caused by a program called RNAAP. This program is runned when you start Dail-Up Networking (Externe Toegang). When you want to create an audio cd, press CTRL+ALT+DEL once and when you see RNAAPP, close it by pressing ENTER. Repeat this, untill you won't see RNAAPP when you press CTRL+ALT+DEL. Now you should be able to burn audio cd's at 4X. If this doesn't work you can also close some other programs by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL. Probably you only need RUNDLL, SYSTRAY and EXPLORER.

Sorry, no updates Tuesday and Wednesday

Due to some updating of the FTP server at Webjump, I wasn't able to update my page. Lots of people had trouble with uploading files to the Webjump server. So they fixed the FTP server. I hope the problems will be history now.

I wasn't able to update CD Mania yesterday and Saturday, cause of an error while uploading some HTML files. I'm sorry, but due to a lack of time, I wasn't able to find a new server.

Twilight 31 Crack

The Twilight 31 crack has been released!! Thanx to Twilight Zone. I would make one myself, but one of the mayor Twilight dealers had been busted, so Twilight 31 arrived yesterday at my place. There will be no TAX on cd-r's in Holland!!!! Thanx to CD Freaks for their info. I know there was a lot of fuss about the TAX on cd-r's. There won't be a TAX raise for now.

Tax on CD-R in The Nederlands

Since January 1st, there's a tax on cd-r's, it's F1,33 for 74 Minutes and about F1,50 for 80 Minutes. When you know a store which hasn't rise the prices yet, but a few hundred cd-r's, because the prices will be raised very soon!!!

Writing at 8X with the Compro/Mat(su)shita/Panasonic CW 7502

The Compro 7502 is able to burn at 8X when you've got firmware 4.XX, other firmware versions might not work!!!! (Not tested!!!) You must flash the bios to version 4.14, you can download it here. Then you should install CD Wizard Pro 4.65, which you can download right here. After that you should install Nero 4.0.0.5, which you can download here. Now, when the program asks you to restart your pc, do this. Now run CD Wizard 4.65, the program will ask you if you want to change your driver config, answer 'NO'. Select:'Create a new virtual CD'. When done create a ISO image. Now press on the Red Button (burn cd) and select '4x speed writing', 'Session at once' and 'Only simulation'. Once the simulation is started, stop it and press on the Red Button (burn cd) again. Now you should see there's a lot of writing speed available!!! Some people had 30X, don't try 30X, this won't work because your HD is far too slow. But you should be able to burn at 8X!!!!! It worked for some people with a 7502 with firmware 4.14. It might work for you too. By the way, I'm not responsible for any damage to your burner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are some rumors about writing on a DVD too. It are only rumors, but it might be true. (I don't think so but when it's true I will describe the steps too)

Possible solution for overburning with some burners

Some burners like a Compro/Mat(su)shita/Panasonic CW 7502 and lots of others don't support overburning. Now there might be a possible workaround!!!! Use a program like Nero 4.0.0.5, CD Wizard 4.65 or CDRWin 3.6B. Select 'Track at Once' instead of Disc At Once in the options menu. Don't 'finalize' or 'close' the disc, only close the 'session'. Now you should be able to overburn a disc. It worked for me, and might work for people with other recorders. Mail me the results if you have tested other recorders and media. I was able to burn 76:30 on a normal 74 Minutes Arita with the 7502. When you want, you can try to finalize the disc after closing the session, but this might not work on all recorders!!!! With this method you also might be able to burn 700 MB's correctly!!!

Sorry, there was no update available yesterday, due to a HD-crash Sunday evening. I added yesterdays news below. So you can still read it. As you can see, I've started changing the layout. I think it will be finished at the end of the week.

New layout

I'm working on a new layout for CD Mania, because of all the problems I had with this layout, because it's the same as that from Rocking, Da Place To Be. I don't know when it's ready, but it should be at the end of the week.

1000 Visitors

Yesterday we passed the 1000 visitors mark. Thanx goes to everybody who supports this site. Keep on going. When I recive my Twilight 31, I will create a crack for GAMES.001 as well. And ofcourse you will see it on CD Mania.

Twilight 31 crack works!!!

The Twilight 31 crack released yesterday works perfectly!!! Big thanx goes to Pulverize,   DREXL and Theguyver for testing. This crack works fine for Twilight 31 Disc 2. I'm going to work on a Disc 1 crack too, when I have received my copy of Twilight 31. You can download it right here.

Problems with Twilight 31 Disc 2

There seem to be problems with Disc 2 of Twilight 31 (Source CD Freaks) The problem is the same as with some Disc's 1 from Twilight 30. The copying op the cd stops at 656,5 MB. It seems that not all Disc's 2 are having problems. So Twilight might replace the discs again.

Twilight Zone

Twilight Zone has released their crack for MENU95.EXE. They tell you the are the first one's. They are NOT!!!! The Crack was available first at CD Mania. You might have seen it on my page yesterday. So Twilight Zone is lying, CD Mania had the first crack and not TLZ. So please download it CD Mania, and not at Twilight Zone. Download the crack over here!

Twilight 31 is out now, you should receive it fast, and you might have received it yet. Twilight has got a new layout. They say, a new year, a new look. So, don't scare when this Twilight 31 is different from other Twilights, but if you think you have got a fake Twilight 31 check Twilight's Homepage for their lists and picture. Crazybytes 34 list released (Thanx to CD Freaks)

The list of Crazybytes 34 is also released (Thanx to CD Freaks again). It contains lots of cool stuff. You can view the list right here or at the Lists section. I hope they fixed the problems with the menu (and that they have "normal" passwords on their ZIP-files.) A pretty cool package, the list of CB 34 is better than the list of Twilight 31 if you ask me. CB 34 contains a lots burning programs. I hope they will be on Twilight 32 too. The game "Gangsters" is finally available. Decide yourself, which list you like more!!

Copying cd's and surfing at the same time

When you connect your CD-Player to your soundcard instead of to the build-in connector of your mainboard, you can copy cd's from your player directly to your burner with programs like Padus Discjuggler and CDRWin. Be sure your cd-reader is faster than your burner!!!! Now you can make copies of your cd's without using your HD, so no buffer underruns!!! You can surf or even play games while burning.

Today I have updated some links like the links to Twilight and Crazybytes. I also added the links to CD Freaks and Twilight Zone again, because of some things explained later.

Explanation

OK I know I told you I was the new webmaster of Rocking, Da Place To Be, I'm not!!! I asked The Duke (webmaster of Rocking, Da Place To Be) or I could have his permission to continue Rocking, Da Place To Be. I didn't receive any answers, so I started a new page called CD Mania with the layout of Rocking, Da Place To Be. I mailed CD Freaks and Twilight Zone I was had a new page which continues Rocking, Da Place To Be. They thought I was the new webmaster of Rocking, Da Place To Be. Sorry, some miscommunication, I should have been some more clear to them. A few days ago I was on IRC with The Duke and he told me he had sent me some mail about continuing his page, but I never received it!!!!! The Duke hasn't got ( has got little) problems with it, that I copied his site, but he doesn't want me to use the name of Rocking, Da Place To Be. So I won't claim I'm the new webmaster of Rocking, Da Place To Be. I've mailed to the Twilight Zone, and they are thinking of linking me again, so I will link them too. I hope CD Freaks and Pentagon  will link me also. I will try to make a page which has got just as much quality as Rocking, Da Place To Be, but that's very hard. I'm sorry for the miscommunications.

Webjump FTP update

Due to an update of the Webjump FTP server I wasn't able to update the page from december 29th. But I can update now. Less happened the last few days. I expect the listing of the Twilight 31 very soon. I've changed the source of some HTML files, like the cd-r info, which is now 126 KB, it was 246 KB. So the loading will go a lot faster.
